"Joy To the World" Featured on NBC's Scrubs

The Dec. 7th holiday episode of the hit NBC comedy Scrubs featured The Butties' "Joy To The World" at the end of the show.  The lads were again psyched to hear their music on network TV!  Last season's finale of Scrubs also featured Butties' music.  In early March,  the band was asked to play for the Scrubs end-of-the-season Wrap Party in Hollywood.  We had a blast...what a party!  The producers even wrote into the script a way to include a Butties tune during the final episode.  So while we were in L.A., we popped into Lookout Sound and banged out a rockin' rendition of "Eight Days A Week."  Sammy and Paul even got to lip-synch to it on camara!

More "Joy" on the Big Screen...

The Butties were thrilled to provide music for the Soundtrack of the Christmas feature film, CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS.  The movie was released by Sony Pictures, in conjunction with Columbia Pictures & Revolution Studios, and stars Tim Allen, Dan Aykroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis.  The film's Soundtrack, released by Hollywood Records, is the brain-child of Little Steven (The Sopranos, Springsteen's guitar player) and features such artists as The Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Ramones, Elvis, The Butties and many more.  Check out the link below:

Our Legend Grows

Steve Van Zandt was the subject of the December 8th edition of NPR's "Fresh Air." He talks about how he chose the songs for the Christmas with the Kranks soundtrack. His story of how he found our song, and who we are, is a must listen. Check it out!
